"The 19thCentury Fleabag Is...?-(Until-Key-Can-Think-Of-A-Better-Title...) Competition!"

Now, most of you know me as Key - the black and white fluff ball in jeans and a vest. Some of you know me as Key - the rabbit-eared, crossdressing moron. Fewer know me as Flea - the strange thing that stalks them.

If you fall into any of these little boxes, you ALSO know me as the 19thCenturyFleabag - a gentleman in rags.

Now, as I said, my handful of personas and cluster of other characters are already pretty well known by those of you who have haunted me long enough.

But there is no-one who represents the 19thCenturyFleabag!

OMGHOWSADISDAT?!?!?!@!@112211!!?!?! And whatever...

Your design becomes mine to use at will, for whatever purpose I see fit. If this is going to be a PROBLEM for you, it's wise to NOT ENTER.
You are ONLY limited by your imagination, though it'd be nice if you got a FEW fibres of my personality in there!
DON'T be afraid to send me notes or comments asking me things!
DON'T be afraid to ASK FOR EXTENSIONS!!!
Colours are GOOD, but not an absolute MUST. If you choose NOT to colour your entry, however, I will choose the colours, and YOU DON'T WANT THAT!!!
DON'T go ripping someone else's picture and submitting it, I WILL find out! Um-ah! Referencing is FINE, but outright theft is EVIL and I WILL SPANK YOU!

Don't be afraid to send me notes asking about things that I like. I'm NOT going to tell you what to draw, but I CAN give you advice. This applies to EVERYONE, so I'm NOT playing favourites.
Pay attention! I give away more than I should when I rant! Mind you, that DOESN'T mean I expect you to read, review and make notes of EVERY Journal I write between now and then!

At the moment, I am considering closing the comp on August 1st. HOWEVER, it may be moved to August 22nd, but will NOT span into September. If you don't enter within three months... Well... Hey. I'm not going to make everyone else wait. Why choose these dates? THEY ARE SPECIAL BIRTHDAYS!!!! If you know whose, well, you get a cookie.

In Colour Me Happy, I nominated winners in both Traditional AND Digital. This will be UNLIKELY for this competition. I have enough FAITH in my Traditional Artists to put them on a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD with my Digital Artists.

*SPECIAL COMMENDATION*

RESERVE will be placed, but will not get to select their prizes. They will each receive ONE FREE INK DRAWING - NOT a skribble, promise.

SPECIAL COMMENDATION will be given to one artist who has NOT placed, but whom I believe has put special EFFORT, CONSIDERATION, and TIME into their piece, or who has exceeded their usual boundaries. This isn't just about who can draw the best, but also about who can GROW the most.

Prizes are open for nomination! If you have any ideas, feel free to have a say! In the case that a PRIZE appears all categories, it can only be awarded once. If it is selected, it will be removed from any following prize lists. Remember, aside from a nice little goody, the winning entry also earns the creator bragging rights, AND a commission of their entry will be purchased from a deviantARTIST. (This commission is NOT a prize, you will notice...!)

The gift vouchers are up to you as far as what you spend it on, but if you choose the deviantART print... Well, that's why we have WISHLISTS, right? Start thinking about the kind of things you'd like to have purchased for you!

I have tried to include a range of items dA related and otherwise. I understand that some people cannot give out their addresses and such online, and that's okay - I just want to make sure that everyone gets something worthwhile, irrelevant of their situation.
